2018 MIAA Year In Review - Women's Outdoor Track & Field

Among the highlights from the 2018 season:

- Hope's depth aided by two individual wins Friday gave the Flying Dutch a 179 point total to win the 2018 MIAA Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championship. Hope's Chelsea Miskelley (800m Run, 2:17.93) and Hailey Pickelheimer (400m Hurdles, 1:07.76) gathered individual wins to help fend off second-place Calvin (174.5 points) and third-place Albion (166.50 points).

- Two fourth-place finishes were included in three All-American performances by MIAA student-athletes at the 2018 NCAA Division III Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championships May 24-26. Trine's Kara Eck (hammer) and Calvin's Katie Diekema (1,500m run) both finished fourth in their respective events, while Calvin's Jenna Dyksen took seventh in the 100m hurdles.

- Earning Most Valuable honors from the MIAA Championship were Albion's Cassie Vince (track) and Hope's Alison Rich (field).
