Women's Recap

Hope's depth aided by two individual wins Friday gave the Flying Dutch a 179 point total to win the 2018 MIAA Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championship, hosted by Adrian College. Hope's Chelsea Miskelley (800m Run, 2:17.93) and Hailey Pickelheimer (400m Hurdles, 1:07.76) gathered individual wins to help fend off second-place Calvin (174.5 points) and third-place Albion (166.50 points).

Albion's Layla Wilks had two individual wins to go with a leg on Albion's winning 4x100m Relay team. Wilks won both the 100m Dash (12.33) and 200m Dash (25.86).

Three competitors doubled up wins from Thursday: Calvin's Jenna Dyksen took first in the 100m hurdles for the third time of her career (15.29); Trine's Kara Eck became a three-time winner in the shot put (12.99m); and Albion's Cassie Vince swept the distance races with her win in the 5,000m Run (17:21.73). Vince's double in the distance events was the first two-time winner in both the 5K and 10K since 2005.

Adrian's Clauna Duclos won the 400m Dash (59.63) and anchored the Bulldogs' winning 4x400m relay team.
