MIAA Women's Outdoor Track & Field Week #1 Wrap-Up

• In Albion's season-opening meet at the Southern Invitational March 11, Nia Thomas (So., Honolulu, Hawaii) was victorious in the long jump with her effort of 15 feet, 8.25 inches. 

• Hope's Erin Herrmann (Sr., Wheaton, Ill.) was emphatic in her season-opening effort in the 3,000m steeplechase at the Emory Invitational, winning with a time of 10:50.20 to set a meet record and record the fastest time in the NCAA this season.

• Olivet took part in the Emory Invitational March 17-18, with the Comets' 4x800m relay team setting a program record with their time of 10:25.88.

• Trine started their outdoor season with their appearance at the Emory Invitational March 17-18. Among the team's individual highlights were a fourth-place finish by Kyla Binfet (Jr., West Yellowstone, Mont.) in the 5,000m run, where she turned in a PR time of 18:31.45.
