MIAA Outdoor Track & Field Championship - Day One

After the first day of Field Day for MIAA women's track and field, Calvin earned individual titles in the high jump and discus to take the early lead for the team title.

Women's Update

Calvin captured individual titles in the high jump (Bethany VanEck, 1.56m) and the discus (Michaela Meckes, 42.49m) to aid in holding the early lead through five events. Albion's Jessica Shaw was the winner in the 10K (37:30.84), Albion's Nia Thomas was the champion in the long jump (5.34m), and Trine's Kara Eck was victorious in the hammer throw (57.02m).

Men's Update

Calvin took the podium in shot put (Brendan VanHouten, 14.43m) and the 10K (Andrew Philipose, 32:34.56) to take the lead through four events at the first day of MIAA Field Day. Also earning individual wins were Trine's Jeffery Barnett in the long jump (7.14m) and Albion's Ray Robinson in the javelin (46.58m).
