Alma's Arnold receives the NCAA 90 Award

Waverly, Iowa - Alma College's Kaitlyn Arnold earned the NCAA Elite 90 award for the 2016 NCAA Division III Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

The Elite 90 award is presented to the student-athlete that has the highest cumulative grade point average competing at the finals site for each of the NCAA 90 Championships. Each institution that has as least one student-athlete qualify for the NCAA championship finals can nominate a student-athlete for the award at that championship.

Arnold, as junior from Jackson, Michigan owns a 4.0 GPA in integrative physiology and health science and is one of nine with perfect 4.0 GPA's at the DIII Outdoor Track and Field Championship.

Arnold was the MIAA champion in the 1500m and runner up in the 5000m during the MIAA Field Day. She will be competing in the 5000m for Alma at the DIII Championship on May 28th at Wartburg College.
