The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association has named Hope's Alison Rich its women's Field Athlete of the Week in track and field for meets through April 26.

Rich, a freshman from Haslett (Haslett HS), finished second in the heptathlon at Hillsdale's Gina Relays with 4,302 points. Highlighting her performance was a toss of 121 feet, 10 inches in the javelin, which ranks first among MIAA athletes this season. Rich is being honored as Athlete of the Week for the first time in her career
