• Albion defeated Calvin in a dual meet Jan. 11, 47-25, to resume the 2017-18 indoor track and field season. Among team highlights were a 1-2-3 finish in the weight throw, led by McKenna Donahue (Sr., Huntington Woods, Mich.) and her throw of 41 feet, 8 inches. Kimberly Barber (Jr., Gobles, Mich.) finished first in the long jump, second in the 60m dash, and had a leg on the winning 4x200m relay.

At the Bob Eubanks Open Jan. 12, Cassie Vince (Jr., Amherst, Ohio) ran the 3000m run in 9:44.53 for the second-best time in the nation to win the event.

• Alma's Erin Goggins (Jr., Hastings, Mich.) cleared 3.05m in the pole vault at Jack Skoog Invitational Jan. 12.

• Calvin saw Jenna Dyksen (Sr., Hawthorne, N.J.) win the 60m hurdles against Albion Jan. 11 with a time of 9.41. at the Bob Eubanks Open Jan. 12, Katie Diekema (Jr., Kenmore, Wash.) was second in the 3000m run to rank 10th nationally.

• Olivet's Michaela Kaliniak (Jr., Sparta, Mich.) set a program record in the pole vault at the Bob Eubanks Open Jan. 12, clearing 10 feet, 4.75 inches for a third-place finish.

• Earning MIAA Athlete of the Week honors for Jan. 16 was:
