The 2017-18 indoor track and field season came to an end March 9-10 at the 2018 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships, hosted by Birmingham Southern College at the Birmingham CrossPlex.
Calvin's Katie Diekema posted the 11th fastest time in the 1-mile prelims, falling just short of advancing to the Saturday final. Diekema crossed the line in 4:58.69.
On Friday, Vince finished the 5,000m run with a time of 17:46.01 to finish 17th overall. Vince then placed 14th in the 3,000m run on Saturday with a time of 9:58.60. To note, Vince was one of just five student-athletes to compete in both the 3,000m and 5,000m runs at the 2018 Championships.
UMass-Boston captured the 2018 women's title, their first since 1986.
