Among the highlights from the 2017-18 season:

- In the closest MIAA Indoor Track and Field Championship to date, Hope held off Trine by 1.5 points and Albion by three points to win their first-ever MIAA championship in the sport. 

- Five MIAA Championship records fell during the one-day event, hosted by Trine University.

- At the 2018 NCAA Championship, both Calvin's Katie Diekema and Albion's Cassie Vince competed in distance events.
