Women's Recap
In the closest MIAA Indoor Track and Field Championship to date, Hope held off Trine by 1.5 points and Albion by three points to win their first-ever MIAA championship in the sport. The Flying Dutch only had two event wins, but depth across the board was enough in the end.
Trine featured five event wins, including a throws sweep by Kara Eck in the shot put (12.61m) and weight throw (16.35m). The Thunder also registered an MIAA record in the 4x400m relay in the meet's final event (4:05.80), but Hope finished third in the event to close the points differential.
Albion's Layla Wilks posted two of the Britons' four event wins, taking the 60m dash (8.06) and the 200m dash (25.69) with her 200m mark setting an MIAA Championship standard.
Calvin's Katie Diekema and Erin Van Lenten were both two-time winners; Diekema captured both the 3000m run (10:19.16) and added an MIAA-record finish in the 1-mile run (5:05.03). Van Lenten won the 60m hurdles (9.37) and the triple jump (10.84m).

Men's Recap
Calvin's depth at the distance events as well as key performance in the throws helped lift the Knights to their second consecutive MIAA Indoor Track and Field Championship Feb. 24 at Trine's Athletic and Recreation Center.
Calvin tallied six event wins, including a title defense in the 400m dash by Ethan Valentine (59.10); it was Valentine's third consecutive title in the event. In the 1-mile run, Mark DeJong (4:23.11) led four Calvin runners that placed in the top six.
Trine placed second with 145 points, led by two-time winner Patrick Richardville; Richardville set an MIAA record in the 60m dash (6.91) and won the 200m dash (22.44). Trine added two more individual wins as a team.
Albion thrived in the field events, winning three times on three MIAA record performances: Richard Annorat (high jump, 2.05m), Jephte Jean Claude (triple jump, 14.32m), and Kejuan Frazier (shot put, 14.84m).
