• Olivet defeated Holy Cross (Ind.) Sept. 10, 5-4, to give the Comets their first win of the fall season. Miranda Pier (So., Woodhaven, Mich.) and Keely Cruz (Fr., Ceresco, Mich.) parlayed an 8-1 win at No. 3 doubles with victories at No. 4 and No. 6 singles, respectively.
• After two losses to start the year, Trine defeated Earlham Sept. 10, 8-1. The Thunder swept all three points of doubles and added straight-set wins in five of six singles matches.
