• Albion opened MIAA action with a 6-3 road win over Alma March 30. Marceline Redick (So., San Marcos, Calif.) was among Albion's two-time winners, with her victories coming at No. 2 doubles (8-2) and No. 2 singles (6-2, 6-2).
• Hope jumped to a 2-0 start in MIAA play with convincing wins over Olivet March 29 and Calvin March 31. On the week, Claire Hallock (So., Lakeland, Fla.) was 4-0, winning at No. 1 doubles and No. 2 singles.
• Kalamazoo's lone action last week was a 9-0 win over Olivet in the Hornets' league opener March 31. Maria Franco (Sr., Quito, Equador) and Bella Russo (So., Clinton Twp., Mich.) each shut out their opponents with 6-0, 6-0 wins at No. 1 and No. 5 singles, respectively.
• Saint Mary's was a two-time winner last week, including their MIAA-opening win over Trine March 28. In the Belles' 8-1 win, Monica Davy (Jr., Morris, Ill.) captured convincing wins at No. 1 doubles (8-0) and No. 1 singles (6-2, 6-1).
