Hope Women's Tennis Ends Season in NCAA Second Round

The Hope women's tennis team saw their 2018 spring season come to an end in the Second Round of the 2018 NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championships. The Flying Dutch defeated John Carroll May 10, 5-0, before losing to Wesleyan the following day, 5-0.

Against John Carroll, Claire Hallock and Taylor LaBarge were two-time winners for Hope. The pair teamed for an 8-5 win at No. 1 doubles to help set the tone; Hallock then tallied a 6-1, 6-4 win at No. 2 singles. LaBarge's 6-0, 7-5 win at No. 3 singles sealed the win.

The teams will play a single-elimination tournament with the first, second- and third- rounds played at regional sites. Claremont McKenna-Harvey Mudd Scripps Colleges will host the team championships finals, which will be held May 21-23 at Biszantz Tennis Center in Claremont, California. Student-athletes selected to the individual championships will be announced Wednesday, May 9.
