Hope

First-place individual performances from seven different members of the 25th-ranked Hope College women’s swimming & diving team powered the Flying Dutch to a 113-96 victory at Olivet College on Friday. Senior Sara Plohetski of South Lyon, High School (South Lyon HS) won the 1-meter board by recording a score of 211.35 points. Junior Allison Eppinga of Saline, Michigan (Saline) took first in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2 minutes, 2.67 seconds. Junior Paula Nolte of Elmhurst, Illinois (York Community) clocked a winning 100 breaststroke swim of 1:12.43.


Kalamazoo

Did not compete. Kalamazoo returns to action Nov. 29 - Dec. 1 at the Calvin Invitational.


Olivet

The Olivet College women's swimming and diving team lost 113-96 to Hope College in its home-opening dual meet. Kayla Eichaker touched the wall first in 100-yard freestyle at 57.07 seconds. She also posted a personal-best and placed second in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:23.69.
