Women's Recap

Calvin increased their lead on the field with three event wins and depth throughout Friday's finals.

Led by NCAA B Cut times by Abby Van Harn (1:50.79) and Anna Serino (1:51.55), Calvin swept the top five positions in the 200 free. 

In the morning session, Hope's Meg Peel etched her name in the MIAA recordbook with a time of 56.01 in the 100 back to set a new conference standard. In the final, Peel won with a time of 56.54, while Albion's Rileigh Eding also hit an NCAA B time with 56.87.

Hope's Emma Schaefer led a 1-2 finish for the Flying Dutch in the 400 IM, pairing with teammate Erin Emmert to take the top two spots. Hope finished with four individual wins on Friday.

Men's Recap

Albion was the first team to set a new MIAA record in an event with their time of 1:29.71 in the 200 medley relay. Both Albion and Calvin turned in NCAA B Cut times in the event to start the evening session.

Albion's Nate Kocyzki's winning time of 48.29 in the 100 Fly not only set an MIAA record, but is among the top five times in NCAA Division III for this season; Calvin's Jared Britton also hit an NCAA B in the final with a time of 49.29.

Calvin's Tanner Vincent posted his second win in as many nights with his NCAA B Cut time of 4:01.96 to win the 400 IM. On Thursday, Vincent won the 200 IM for the Knights.

Following a 1-3 finish by Albion in the 100 breast, including an NCAA B Cut time of 55.76 by Tyler Kimbrell, the Britons pulled to within 31 points of Calvin's lead. But the Knights responded with a 1-2 finish in the 100 back, with NCAA B Cut times by Ben Holstege (48.99) and Skyler Fish (50.11) to push their lead to 50 points heading into Saturday's final day of action.
