Two Calvin divers were honored May 17 for their academic achievement, as both Sarah Bradley and Michael Moentmann were named to the 2017-18 Google Cloud Academic All-District honorees in the At-Large category.
Moentmann, a three-time national qualifier, was the 2018 MIAA champion on the three-meter board. Academically, Moentmann is a double major in biochemistry and public health with a 3.93 grade-point average.
Bradley gathered Academic All-District accolades for the third consecutive year, where she owns a 3.91 grade-point average in Spanish and engineering. Bradley was the 2018 Central Region diving champion on both the one-meter and three-meter boards.
The 2017-18 Google Cloud Academic All-District® Men’s and Women's At-Large Teams, selected by CoSIDA, recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the playing field and in the classroom. First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the Google Cloud Academic All-America® ballot, with Google Cloud Academic All-America® teams announced in June.
The Google Cloud Academic All-District® teams include the student-athletes listed on the following pages and are divided into eight geographic districts across the United States and Canada. The Google Cloud Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and College Division. The College Division includes all NAIA, Canadian, two-year schools and other affiliations.
The Division II and III Google Cloud Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures, to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2017-18 DII and DIII Academic All-America® teams.
