The Hope College women's soccer team lost a 2-1 decision Nov. 16 to host Christopher Newport in the Third Round of the 2018 NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Championship. The loss concludes Hope's season with a 16-3-2 record.
Christopher Newport (20-1-0) was first on the board, scoring in the 11th minute; but Hope was quick to respond, scoring in the 26th minute when Hilary Curry scored her eighth goal of the season, converting in front of a hectic goal mouth from close range.
Christopher Newport tallied what proved to be the game-winner in the 50th minute.
Hope goalkeeper Jordanne Ellingboe made six saves in the setback.
