• Adrian wrapped up the regular season with a trio of MIAA victories to earn the No. 3 seed for the MIAA semifinals Nov. 2. After shutting out Kalamazoo Oct. 24, 4-0, the Bulldogs added a 2-1 win against Calvin Oct. 27 and a 2-0 road shutout at Saint Mary's Oct. 30.
• Alma posted two wins to conclude their 2017 campaign, including a 2-1 overtime win against Albion Oct. 30 on the Scots' Senior Day.
• Despite having a 11-game unbeaten streak halted with a 2-1 non-conference loss to Wheaton Oct. 28, Hope gained momentum with a 1-0 win over Trine Oct. 30 in the regular-season finale. The Flying Dutch will host Calvin Thursday in the MIAA semifinals; should Hope win, they maintain home field advantage into the championship game Nov. 4.
• Olivet emerged in the regular season finale with a 2-1 victory over Calvin to secure the No. 2 seed in the MIAA Tournament. The Comets will host Adrian in the semifinal round with the winner to take on the Hope/Calvin winner in the championship contest.
• Earning MIAA Athlete of the Week honors for Oct. 31 were:
- Defense: Rachel Rodeheffer, Adrian
- Offense: Caroine Fleming, Adrian
• In the Oct. 31 release of the United Soccer Coaches regional rankings, Hope moved to No. 5 in the poll, while Adrian moved into the No. 9 slot. Kalamazoo ranked 10th in the Central Region.
