• Alma scored in the 89th minute to take a 3-2 victory against Saint Mary's Oct. 18 in their lone match of the week.

• With a 5-0 win at home against Saint Mary's Oct. 21, Hope claimed the 2017 MIAA Championship outright and earned home field advantage for the MIAA postseason. On the season, Hope has allowed just four goals, with 13 shutouts over 16 games.

 • Kalamazoo went 1-0-1 on the week, with a 2-0 home victory over Trine Oct. 18 to go with a 2-2 draw with Albion Oct. 21.

• Olivet made a three-goal lead in the first half stand in a 3-2 victory over Adrian Oct. 21, the Comets' 12th win of the season, wich ranks fourth-best in the team's history. On the week, Isabelle Leon (Sr., F, Grand Rapids, Mich.) was involved in six of Olivet's seven goals, including a hat trick in their 4-0 win at Albion Oct. 18.

• Earning MIAA Athlete of the Week honors for Oct. 23 were:

  - Defense: Kristen Marsman, Hope

  - Offense: Isabelle Leon, Olivet

• In the Oct. 24 release of the United Soccer Coaches national rankings, Hope ranks 24th in the nation. Regionally, Hope is third in the Central Region, while Kalamazoo ranks ninth and Calvin 10th.
