Albion women's soccer makes opening statement

ANDERSON, Ind. – Albion College spread the production on offense as it opened the women's soccer season with a 4-0 victory over Anderson University.

Jenna Urso, Domenique Sarnecky and Sam LaRocca and Alex Radzville scored goals for the Britons. LaRocca buried a penalty kick after Caroline Eagan was taken down in the penalty box. Sarah Castellano dished out the assists on the first and fourth goals, while Eagan was credited with the assist on the second.

"I thought the players did a good job of adjusting in the game," Albion Head Coach Eric Scott said. "Anderson worked hard, had some good ideas in the middle of the field, and we worked hard to keep the game in front of us.

"Our chances were taken well, and our front three did a decent job of trying to get in behind their midfielders to link and then in behind the back line," Scott added.

Goalkeeper Maggie Troost gained the shutout, the sixth of her career.
