MIAA Programs, Individuals Receive IWLCA Academic Honor Squad, Academic Honor Roll Acclaim

The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) announced the honorees for both the 2018 Zag Sports Academic Honor Squad and the 2018 IWLCA Zag Sports Division III Academic Honor Roll.

Improving on last year's effort, six MIAA institutions and 20 student-athletes from seven MIAA schools were recognized by the IWLCA. Albion, Alma, Calvin, Hope, Kalamazoo, and Saint Mary's all garnered Academic Honor Squad nods.

Individually, 2018 First-Team All-MIAA selections Madeline Baase from Calvin, Kate Kelly from Saint Mary's, and Kalamazoo's Katherine Johnson all met the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll standard.

Teams must combine for a 3.0 team grade-point average for the academic year to be honored. Individually, student-athletes must be at least a junior status and own a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher.
