MIAA Women's Lacrosse Championship features Calvin, Hope

In Wednesday's semifinal action, top-seeded Calvin advanced with a 15-4 win over #4 seed Albion, while #3 Hope had Saint Mary's number and outlasted the second-seeded Belles, 12-11.

Calvin 15, Albion 4

The Knights took an 8-3 lead at the half and never looked back in their 15-4 win over Albion. Emily Cefaratti tallied four goals, three assists, four ground balls, and four caused turnovers to frustrate the Britons, while Kelly Pepper added four goals and one assist. Madeline Baas added 13 draw controls. For Albion, the Brits were led by Cait Gaitley's three goals.

Hope 12, Saint Mary's 11

Hope scored 10 second-half goals to erase their 4-2 halftime deficit to win at Saint Mary's Wednesday. Erin Caton had a game-high four goals, while Dana Kym and Alexandra Webb each had three goals and two assists for the Flying Dutch. Saint Mary's Clare Theisen and Kendra Osinski each had three goals in the setback.
