GRANGER, Ind. - On a Saturday with crisp air and brisk wind, the Saint Mary's women's golf team buckled down in the final round of the 2018 MIAA Women's Golf NCAA Qualifier Tournament to post an impressive 37-stroke margin on the day on the way to a 79-stroke lead for the tournament.
In winning the 2018 NCAA qualifying tournament, Saint Mary's makes their first trip to the NCAA Championship since 2012.
On the final day, Saint Mary's freshman Hunter Kehoe stood up to the challenging conditions to card a four-over 76 to lead the field. Sister and teammate Taylor Kehoe was the only other golfer to break 80 on the day, turning in a six-over 78. Also scoring for the Belles on the final day were Summer Stillson (81) and Kelsey Conkright (92).
Saint Mary's will compete in the Division III Women's Golf Championship May 8-11 at Mission Hills Resort Golf Club in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla.
