Hope Women's Golf Match Second-Best Finish at NCAAs

Hope concluded the 2016-17 season Friday with an 11th-place finish at the 2017 NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championships, hosted in Houston, Texas. Hope finished with 1300 strokes, six strokes in front of 12th place St. Catherine.

The Flying Dutch turned in their best round of the tournament in the third round, carding a 314 as a team, thanks to a four-over 76 by Dominique Molinaro. The team's best individual round came from Megan Klintworth during the second round with a three-over 75. Nicole Meyer and Megan Wierenga finished tied for 43rd with matching 325 four-round scores.

Hope matched their 11th-place finish in 2015 and were just off their program-best 10th place finish in 2016.

Rhodes College won the 2017 national title with a two-stroke win over George Fox, 1217 to 1219.
