Both teams not only shared the MIAA Championship, but then went into overtime to decide the MIAA Tournament title; Hope prevailed, 68-62.

- Hope advanced to the NCAA Regional Final in 2018, while Trine made an appearance in the NCAA Regional Semifinals for the first time in program history.

- Trine's Brandi Dawson was named MIAA Most Valuable Player for the second consecutive season to lead the All-MIAA team in 2018.

- Nationally, both Trine's Brandi Dawson and Hope's Francesca Buchanan gained All-America accolades from D3hoops.com.
