The Brits bounded out to a 30-10 first quarter lead, as Tierra Orban (Jr., G, Marshall, Mich.) had seven of her game-high 15 points in the first stanza. Albion committed just 10 turnovers while boasting a 20-7 margin in assists.
• Calvin added a trio of wins last week to improve to 6-0 overall. The Knights started the week with a 63-50 win over Manchester, with Ali Spayde (Jr., G, Lewis Center, Mich.) leading all scorers with 19 points. Calvin then added an 82-52 win over Finlandia Nov. 25, as the Knights outscored their hosts 43-23 in the second half; Calvin shot a white-hot 69.4 percent from the field to negate 25 turnovers. The Knights ended the week by nearly doubling up Carroll (Wis.) Nov. 26, 79-40. Anna Timmer (Sr., F, Caledonia, Mich.) had a team-best 17 points in the contest.
• Hope notched two victories last week, starting with their 107-65 victory over Rochester College Nov. 22. A 64-29 halftime lead set the tone, as Mandy Traversa (Sr., F, Winfield, Ill.) scored all of her team-best 17 points in the first two quarters. No player saw more than 21 minutes of play as all 16 Flying Dutch that took the court scored. Then, in their 92-58 win over Cornerstone Nov. 26, Hope went 12-of-24 from three-point range and committed just eight turnovers; Tyra Smith (Jr., G, Grand Rapids, Mich.) led the way with 20 points.
• Trine improved to 3-1 on the season with a 2-0 week. The Thunder ground out a 57-41 win over Oberlin Nov. 22, forcing 22 turnovers and holding Oberlin to 0-of-10 shooting from three-point range. Hayley Martin (Jr., F, Auburn, Ind.) had team highs of 22 points, five rebounds, and three blocks. Trine followed up with a 77-52 win over Anderson (Ind.) Nov. 26; Brandi Dawson (So., G, Garrett, Ind.) led the way with a career-best 28 points.
