INDIANAPOLIS - For the ninth consecutive season and 11th time overall, the Hope women's basketball team led all of NCAA Division III in average attendance.
Over a 14-game home slate in 2016-17, Hope averaged 1,132 fans - well above the NCAA Division III average of 226 fans per game. Hope's average was also better than all NCAA women's basketball games combined, which was an average of 769 fans per game.
Hope's single-game high for 2016-17 was 2,213 for their Jan. 28 home game against Alma, which was part of Hope College's Purple Community Games to benefit the Van Andel Institute.
