• Kalamazoo posted a doubleheader sweep against Manchester March 7, including a 6-1 win in game one. Erin DuRoss (Sr., P, Onsted, Mich.) had a stellar day both at the plate and on the mound, striking out 12 while batting 3-for-4 with four RBI.
• Olivet went 2-2 last week, with a pair of wins March 12 against Macalester (5-3) and Bethany (3-0) in Clermont, Fla. Three runs in the fourth inning boosted the Comets against Macalester.
• Saint Mary's got the 2017 season off on the right foot, shutting out #21 Manhattanville March 12, 5-0. In that game, Morgan Raymer (Jr., P, Mt. Washington, Ky.) fired a one-hit shutout with just one walk in the complete game win.
• #12 Trine began their spring trip to Florida with a pair of wins, defeating #19 Cortland March 12, 7-1, and Wheaton (Mass.) 8-2. Against Cortland, Trine set the tone with a five-run first inning; Danielle Ray (Fr., P, Hamilton, Ohio) scattered four hits while striking out eight.
