• Alma took the lead in the MIAA with a road doubleheader sweep of No. 6 Trine April 23. The Scots edged the Thunder in game one, 1-0, after manufacturing a run in the fifth inning while holding Trine to two hits. In the nightcap, Alma scored seven of their eight runs in the second inning on the way to an 8-4 victory. Morgan Stratton (Sr., P, Grand Blanc, Mich.) earned both wins for Alma.

• Calvin posted three victories against MIAA opponents, including a doubleheader sweep of Hope April 22 to give the Flying Dutch their first conference setbacks of the season. In game one, Maddie DeGroot (So., IF, Hudsonville, Mich.) hit a solo home run in the first inning, which was enough as Anna Gernant (So., P, West Des Moines, Iowa) struck out 14 in seven innings of work.

• Olivet went 4-0 in MIAA play last week, with doubleheader sweeps against Kalamazoo April 21 and Adrian April 22. In the doubleheader with Adrian, Jazmin Hildebrand (Fr., IF, Martin, Mich.) had a pair of doubles, going 4-for-7 on the day. In game one against Kalamazoo, the Comets created three runs on just four hits to post a 3-1 home victory.

• #6 Trine registered a 2-2 record on the week in MIAA play, with a doubleheader sweep over Saint Mary's April 21. After rain halted Thursday's action, the Thunder posted two six-inning victories with 22 total hits against the Belles. Kaylee Fox (Jr., IF, Vermillion, Ohio) went 2-for-3 with two runs and four RBI in game one's 9-1 contest, and then followed with a 3-for-4 performance at the plate with a walk and an RBI in Trine's 14-5 game-two win.
