LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Five Michigan Intecollegiate Athletic Association softball teams were ranked among the top 125 programs nationally academically as the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced the recpients of the 2016-17 Easton/NFCA Academic Team award.
The national coaching organization recognized Adrian, Alma, Calvin, Kalamazoo, and Saint Mary's as programs that were the top 125 programs by team grade-point average for the 2016-17 academic year. Of note, Saint Mary's was ranked fifth nationally with their 3.633 team GPA last academic year.
