2017 MIAA Year In Review - Men's Outdoor Track & Field

Among the highlights from the 2017 season:

- Calvin cruised to their 23rd MIAA title in 24 seasons by surpassing second-place Trine by over 100 points at the 2017 MIAA Championship.

- At the 2017 NCAA Division III Men's Outdoor Track & Field Championships, Ethan Valentine of Calvin was the national runner-up in the 400m dash to earn All-America honors; also garnering All-America accolades was teammate Andrew Philipose in the 5,000m and 10,000m runs.

- Earning Most Valuable honors from the MIAA were Patrick Richardville of Trine (track) and Calvin's Brendan Van Houten; Van Houten was a three-time winner in the shot put, discus, and hammer.
