Around the MIAA

Adrian

Adrian will begin the indoor track and field season Saturday, Jan. 19 at the Trine Invitational.


Albion

Richard Annorat (Naples, Fla./Lely) was the runner-up in the triple jump (45’ 6 ½”) and he finished in the top eight of two other events at Tiffin…Andrew Wittland (Grand Rapids/Forest Hills Northern), picked up where he left off after achieving all-region status during the cross country season. He achieved a personal record time (15.40.91) to finish second in the 5,000 meters.

Alma

Alma will take part in the SVSU Holiday Classic Dec. 7 for their first competition of the season.


Calvin

Calvin will start the 2018-19 indoor track and field season Dec. 7-8 at Grand Valley State.


Hope

Hope will head to the GVSU Holiday Open Dec. 7 to start the season.


Olivet

Olivet will wait until the turn of the calendar year to begin the season, participating in the Jack Skoog Open Jan. 11 at Central Michigan.


Trine

The Trine University men's track & field team began the indoor season at the unscored University of Indianapolis Opener at the UIndy Athletics and Recreation Center in Indianapolis, Ind. Austin Miller led the way for the Thunder in the running events with a first-place finish in the 400-meter dash in a time of 55.67 seconds.  Jasper Bassett also posted a top-five finish in the 800-meter run after turning in a mark of 2:03.53.
