• Albion returned to competition with a dual against Calvin Jan. 11 before their action at Bob Eubanks Open Jan. 12. Against Calvin, Jephte Jean-Claude (Jr., Traverse City, Mich.) won the 60m hurdles (8.70) and was on the Briton's 4x200m winning relay. At the Bob Eubanks Open, Kiehl Smith (So., Jonesville, Mich.) set the program record in the 800m run (1:56.48), which is fourth-best in Division III.

• Alma was part of the five-team Jack Skoog Invitational Jan. 12, scoring separate from Division I teams. Payton Hirschenberger (So., Freeland, Mich.) placed third in the triple jump, posting a new collegiate career-best of 12.54 meters.

• Calvin began their indoor season with their 63-38 dual meet win over Albion, where Lee Barents (Jr., Redlands, Calif.) won the long jump (6.23m) and the 60m dash (7.47). The Knights then followed up at the Bob Eubanks Open Jan. 12, where Andrew Philipose (Sr., Mount Prospect, Ill.) was sixth in the 3000m run (8:36.33), good for 10th nationally.

• Olivet also competed at the Bob Eubanks Open Jan. 12, Zane Paksi (Fr., Saint Johns, Mich.) set a program record in the pole vault, clearing 12 feet, 3.5 inches.

• Earning MIAA Athlete of the Week honors for Jan. 16 was:
