MIAA Men's Indoor Track & Field Week #4 Wrap-Up

• Adrian took fourth out of 15 teams at the Joe Banks Invitational Feb. 4, hosted by Ohio Northern University. Jordan Davis (Jr., Ottawa Lake, Mich.) not only was a winner in the 60m hurdles (8.43) and high jump (6 feet, 6.75 inches), but added a fourth-place effort in the long jump (6.24m) and fifth in 200m dash (23.28). Conner Stevons (Sr., Rochester Hills, Mich.) won the 1000m run in 2:39.87.

• Albion took first place in four events on the way to a second-place finish at the Anderson Indoor Invitational Feb. 4. The Brits finished 1-2-3 in the 1000m run, led by Colin Howard (Sr., Portage, Mich.) and his winning time of 2:36.36.

• Calvin was victorious in six events at the Grand Rapids Sports Hall of Fame Track and Field Classic Feb. 3 to take second overall at the event. Ethan Valentine (Jr., Mason, Ohio) won the 400m dash with a time of 49.37, which ranks third nationally; Lee Barents (Fr., Redlands, Calif.) won the long jump and took second in the triple jump.

• Hope competed at the University of Chicago Indoor Track and Field Windy City Invitational Feb. 4, where Brandon Wolliston (Jr., Remus, Mich.) won the 400m dash (50.19); as a team, the Flying Dutchmen placed third out of 12 teams, finishing behind the host Chicago and Division I Valparaiso.

• Olivet took part in the Hillsdale College Wide Track Classic Feb. 3-4, where Mitchell Smith (Jr., Richmond, Mich.) set a program record with his toss of 50 feet, 1.25 inches in the weight throw, followed by a record in the shot put (44 feet, 0.25 inches). Bruce Baker (Jr., Charlotte, Mich.) had a PR in the 3000m run, crossing the line in 8:53.58.

• Trine participated at the IWU Midwest Classic Feb. 4, where Jeffery Barnett (So., Fremont, Ohio) took second in the long jump (7.05m) while Derek Scott (Sr., Niles, Mich.) was fourth in the shot put (13.92m).
