On July 14, four men's tennis programs from the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) were named 2020-21 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Teams, with 35 men's tennis players from six MIAA institutions earning ITA Scholar-Athlete recognition.
In 2021, 772 Division III Men student-athletes were named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, including a total of 35 women's tennis players from the MIAA.
To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, one must meet the following requirements:
- have a grade point average of at least 3.5 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year
- be listed on the institutional eligibility form
Out of 111 Division III men's tennis programs that received ITA All-Academic accolades, the four MIAA teams include: Adrian College, Albion College, Calvin University, and Trine University.
To be named an ITA All-Academic Team, programs must meet the following requirements:
- have a team grade point average of 3.2 or above (on a 4.00 scale),
- all student-athletes included should be listed on the institutional eligibility form, and
- all varsity letter winners should be factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year
