On the way to their first-ever MIAA Tournament title, Hope swept doubles and benefitted from wins at No. 2 and No. 4 singles to win the 2018 team title. Mark VanderStoep was part of Hope's 9-8 win at No. 1 doubles with teammate Danny Kroeze before notching a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 2 singles. Calvin's Jason Walters posted a straight-set win at No. 5 singles for the host Knights, but Hope ended the match shortly thereafter with Tim Roe's 6-3, 6-0 win at No. 4 singles.
Hope awaits their announcement to the NCAA Division III Men's Tennis team tournament field, which will be announced May 7 on NCAA.com.
