MIAA Men's Tennis Week #2 Wrap-Up

• Albion tallied their first victory of the spring slate with a 5-4 win over Otterbein Feb. 18. Nick Kinachtchouk (So., Saginaw, Mich.) took the tie-breaker at No. 5 singles for the decisive point for the Brits, winning 4-6, 6-3, 10-7.

• Hope was dominant in singles action against Carthage Feb. 18, taking four of six singles points to defeat their non-conference foe 5-4. Sam Kreps (Sr., Holland, Mich.) was a two-time winner for the Flying Dutchmen, winning at No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles.

• Kalamazoo tallied two wins at home last week to remain unbeaten on the year. With a 2-1 score out of doubles play, the Hornets tallied five singles victories against Wabash Feb. 19 in a 7-2 win over their regionally-ranked foe. Allen Vinson (So., Tallahassee, Fla.) dropped just one game in his win at No. 5 singles and was part of an 8-2 victory at No. 3 doubles. In their 5-4 win over Coe Feb. 18, the Hornets won the first three singles matches completed to go with a two doubles wins to secure the victory.
