• Calvin ended the regular season with a 2-0 week, and with a 5-4 win over Adrian April 22, the Knights clinched third place in the upcoming MIAA Tournament May 4-5. Against Adrian, the Knights set the tone by sweeping doubles play and held off Adrian's rally in singles with victories at No. 2 and No. 6 singles. Matt VanWinkle (Jr., St. Joseph, Mich.) went 2-0 on the week at No. 1 doubles and No. 2 singles.
• Hope was victorious in their lone outing of the week, an 8-1 win over Trine April 19. Michael Kiley (So., Muskegon, Mich.) followed up an 8-6 win at No. 1 doubles with a 5-7, 6-4, 6-1 rally at No. 1 singles.
• Kalamazoo captured the 2017 regular season title and enter the postseason on an 11-match winning streak after going 3-0 last week, including two MIAA wins. Along with a 7-2 win over NAIA-ranked Aquinas April 21, the Hornets swept both Adrian and Albion; Branden Metzler (Sr., Rockford, Ill.) dropped just four games in three No. 1 doubles matches and won all three matches at No. 1 singles by straight sets.
• Trine ended their season with a 1-1 week, ending on a high note with a 9-0 sweep of Olivet April 23. After sweeping all three doubles points without dropping a game, the Thunder won all six singles matches in straight sets, including a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 1 singles by Spenser Gilbert (Sr., Elkhart, Ind.).
