The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association has named Kalamazoo's Elan Dantus its Player of the Week in men's tennis for matches played through May 1.

Dantus, a freshman from Okemos (Okemos HS), won all three of his matches last week during the MIAA tournament. In the Hornets' championship match win over Adrian, he won his match at No. 6 singles in straight sets, 6-1, 6-0, and his match at No. 2 doubles, 8-0. He also won his doubles match in the semifinals against Alma, 8-2. Dantus is being honored as Player of the Week for the first time in his career.
