Five Michigan Intecollegiate Athletic Association swimming and diving programs had both their men's and women's teams recognized for high academic achievement with their distinction as a College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America program for the Fall, 2017 academic semester.

The national coaching organization requires teams to earn a 3.0 team grade-point average on a 4.0 scale during the term. The team GPA includes all eligible varsity student-athletes.
