MIAA Men's Swimming & Diving Week #9 Wrap-Up

• Albion defeated Hope in MIAA dual action Jan. 21, 166-131. Sebastian Tostado (Sr., Mexico City) was a two-time individual winner for the Brits, winning the 200 IM with over a five-second margin (1:57.09) and the 200 back by almost five seconds (1:54.99). Hope had a pair of double-event winners in Ryan Johnson (Sr., Milford, Mich.) and Charlie Emmert (Jr., Grand Blanc, Mich.) as the duo swept the sprint free and butterfly events, respectively.

• Calvin competed against two nationally-ranked teams in a double dual at the University of Chicago Jan. 21. Ben Holstege (So., Keswick, Va.) was the lone event winner for the Knights, taking first overall in the 100 back (52.20).

• Kalamazoo raced to a 142-35 win at Alma Jan. 21. The Hornets were able to spread their success, as seven swimmers posted individual wins. Kalamazoo also touched first in the 200 medley and 400 free relays. Sharif Shaker (So., Castro Valley, Calif.) was on both relay-winning teams and added a 200 IM victory (2:03.70).
