Five MIAA Men's Soccer Players Tabbed First Team All-Region by United Soccer Coaches

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Of six Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association men's soccer players to receive honors this week from the United Soccer Coaches, five were First Team All-Central Region honorees, including four players from Calvin College.

After landing three on the first team in 2017, Calvin's quartet of Trent Vegter (Sr., D, Hudsonville, Mich.), Bobby McCaw (Sr., F, Dubuque, Iowa), Chris Morrish (So., GK, Bradenton, Fla.), and Jacob Lyon (Jr., M, Holt, Mich.) represented the Knights on the First-Team All-Central Region. Both McCaw and Vegter were repeat first-team honorees.

Hope's Isaac Braak (Jr., M, Grand Haven, Mich.), a third-team selection last fall, garnered First-Team All-Central Region accolades this season.

Calvin's Jacob Witte (Sr., F, Grand Rapids, Mich.) rounded out the MIAA's honorees with his third-team selection.
