Calvin's McCaw Garners National Weekly Honors from United Soccer Coaches

Bobby McCaw, a senior forward on the Calvin College men's soccer team, received national honors Tuesday (Oct. 9) when he was named the United Soccer Coaches Division III Men's Soccer National Player of the Week.

Calvin was fueled by McCaw's offensive output in two MIAA wins last week. Against No. 19 Hope Oct. 3, McCaw tallied two goals to aid Calvin in their 5-0 win while handing Hope their first setback of the season.

Then, in the Knights' 7-0 win over Trine Oct. 6, McCaw tallied his fourth collegiate hat trick when he found the back of the net in the fourth, sixth, and 53rd minutes.

McCaw becomes the second MIAA men's soccer player to garner national weekly honors from the United Soccer Coaches; Calvin's Travis Vegter was honored during the 2013 season.

On Monday, McCaw was named the MIAA Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
