Five Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association men's soccer student-athletes received honors for their achievement both in the classroom and on the field Thursday with their selection to the 2018 Google Cloud Academic All-District® Division III Men's Soccer Team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Adrian's Tad Davis (Sr., M/F, Trenton, Mich.), Calvin's trio of Ian Adams (Jr., M, Grand Rapids, Mich.), Trent Vegter (Sr., D, Hudsonville, Mich.), and Jacob Witte (Sr., F, Grand Rapids, Mich.), and Hope's Logan Bylsma (Jr., F, Hudsonville, Mich.) were voted to the All-District 6 team and are now eligible for Google Cloud Academic All-America® honors.

Davis made his second consecutive appearance on the Academic All-District® team, as Davis was the team leader in points (13) and goals (5) in 2018. For his career, Davis was a three-time Second-Team All-MIAA selection and owns a 3.93 grade-point average in Business Administration.

Adams boasts a 3.96 GPA in Computer Science / Mathematics and became a two-time Second-Team All-MIAA selection this fall. On the field, Adams is Calvin's leader in assists (16) through 20 games.

Vegter has assisted Calvin in posting a 0.45 goals-against average in 20 games this season. The two-time MIAA Most Valuable Player has a 3.46 GPA in Civil Engineering.

Witte currently has a 3.86 GPA in Speech Pathology in the classroom; on the field, Witte is second on the Knights in scoring with 16 goals - including a team-best five game-winners - through 20 games.

Bylsma has a 3.90 GPA towards a degree in Accounting. In 2018, Bylsma was a force on offense, notching 14 goals in 18 games, including seven game-winners, to lead Hope in goals and points (28).

CoSIDA's NCAA Division III District 6 includes Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. Members of CoSIDA from the district vote on Academic All-District honors. Student-athletes must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.30 GPA on a 4.0 scale and must have completed one full calendar year at the nominating institution to be eligible.
