2017 MIAA Men's Soccer Tournament Central

• Adrian eraned the right to host their first-ever home MIAA semifinal with a 2-0 week, defeating Trine Oct. 25, 2-0, and adding a 3-1 win over Hope Oct. 28. The Bulldogs will host Hope again Wednesday, Nov. 1 for a 7 p.m. semifinal contest.

• Alma capped their 2017 campaign with a two-game unbeaten streak, defeating Hope at home Oct. 25, 1-0 in overtime, and drawing at Trine Oct. 28, 0-0. Goalkeeper Garrison Mast (So., Grand Haven, Mich.) anchored the two shutouts, making 10 saves against Trine.

• #1 Calvin wrapped up the regular season with back-to-back shutouts, extending their defensive shutout streak to over 360 minutes. The top seed in the MIAA Men's Soccer Tournament will host #4 seed Trine Wednesday at 7 p.m., and should the Knights win, retain home field advantage for Saturday's tournament championship game.

 

• Earning MIAA Athlete of the Week honors for Oct. 30 were:

  - Defense: Garrison Mast, Alma

  - Offense: Brandon Katona, Adrian

• Calvin remained #1 nationally in the United Soccer Coaches national rankings for Oct. 31.
