FREELAND, Mich. – Calvin men's soccer student-athletes Stephan Hooker and Trent Vegter were honored Thursday as All-Americans by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
Hooker, a senior midfielder, garnered First-Team All-America honors, while Vegter, a sophomore defender, was a Second-Team All-America selection.
The 2016 MIAA Most Valuable Player, Hooker has scored nine goals this season heading into Saturday's national championship game. Vegter has four goals and seven assists this season as a key defender on the Calvin team that has 15 shutouts through 25 games.
