Bobby McCaw (So., M, Dubuque, Iowa) registered a hat trick as his three-goal effort helped vault #16 Calvin to a 4-2 victory over Alma Saturday afternoon at Zuidema Soccer Field. McCaw scored the game's first goal in the 18th minute, shook the nets on what proved to be the game-winning goal in the 51st minute, and added an insurance strike in the 61st minute for his standout day. Alma, who owned a 2-1 lead in the 31st minute, was led by a goal and an assist by Austin Gabris (Sr., M, Spring Lake, Mich.). Calvin's Ian Adams (Fr., M, Grand Rapids, Mich.) scored in the 43rd minute to knot the game up at 2-2 heading into the halftime break.
Calvin will find its NCAA Tournament placement Monday, Nov. 7 at 1 p.m.
