On Tuesday (May 1), Hope's Nick Schanhals was named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association NCAA Division III Team of the Week.
Coming off a week where Hope secured their first MIAA Championship in men's lacrosse, Schanhals is the second player from both the MIAA and Hope to be honored this year with the national recognition.
Last week, Schanhals - who was named the MIAA Defenseman of the Week on Monday - made 15 saves in Hope's 15-11 victory at Albion April 24 and then followed with seven saves on eight shots faced against Kalamazoo April 28.
