Albion captured their third consecutive MIAA regular season title and will host Olivet Thursday, May 4 in the semifinal round of the 2017 MIAA Men's Lacrosse Tournament. Hope will host Alma in the second semifinal, with the winners advancing to Saturday's title game at the highest remaining seed.

• Albion secured the 2017 MIAA men's lacrosse regular season title with a 2-0 week, including their title-clinching 17-9 win against Olivet April 28. In that contest, Trevor McManus (Fr., GK, Canton, Mich.) came up with 15 saves on 24 shots, while Drew Harm (Jr., A, Rochester, Mich.) had five goals and three ground balls. Earlier in the week, Albion defeated Hope 19-8, where Alec Palmer (Fr., A, Spring Lake, Mich.) came up with four goals, a career best.
• Alma's offense kicked into high gear in the regular season's final week, as the Scots went 2-0 with 42 goals scored. In their 22-11 win at Calvin April 25, Daniel Buchy (Jr., A, Springboro, Ohio) scored an MIAA-record tying nine goals while Chase Hunyadi (Fr., A, Pepper Pike, Ohio) set the MIAA record for assists in a game with 12. The Scots then followed with a 20-5 win over Adrian April 29, where Jake Ellens (So., M, Cadillac, Mich.) had three of his team-high five goals in the second quarter.
• Hope earned the No. 2 seed after a 1-1 week to finish 5-2 overall and take the top spot in the three-way tiebreaker. In their 12-10 win over Trine April 29, Gunnar Elder (Sr., A, East Grand Rapids, Mich.) tallied three goals and one assist to fuel the Hope offense.
• Olivet split the week, which included a 13-10 victory at Trine April 25 to secure a spot in the MIAA tournament. The Comets built up a 10-3 lead at the halftime break, as seven different players scored in the first half. Trevor Bailey (Fr., A/M, Sault Ste. Marie, Mich.) finished with four goals and an assist.
