Men's Lacrosse championship set with Albion, Alma wins in semifinals

Close contests during Thursday evening's semifinals set up Saturday's championship match between top-seeded Albion against Alma at 7 p.m.

Albion 9, Olivet 6

Top-seeded Albion benefitted from a five-goal second quarter to take a 6-3 halftime lead against Olivet before outlasting the Comets, 9-6. Zach Hubbell led the way with three goals for Albion.

Alma 11, Hope 10

Jake Ellens scored the game's decisive goal with 11.3 seconds left in regulation to lift Alma to an 11-10 win over Hope. Ellens finished with a game-high four goals as Alma battled back from an early 5-1 road deficit by outscoring Hope 8-5 in the second half.
